A Jealous Rage? Family Feud at the Contemporary Leads to Arrests and Trespass Orders

🚨 Domestic Violence Arrest at Disney’s Contemporary Resort - Deputies say sisters were taken into custody after a violent fight inside their hotel room. Both had injuries and were trespassed from Walt Disney World property.

Domestic Violence Arrest at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Deputies responded to Disney’s Contemporary Resort on December 3, 2025, for a domestic violence incident involving two sisters, Amanda and Katie, who were vacationing at Walt Disney World. According to the arrest report, the sisters had been arguing throughout the day. After spending time at the parks, tensions continued when they returned to their room.

Katie told deputies she went downstairs to the bar with Amanda’s husband to watch a basketball game and had several alcoholic drinks before returning to the room. When they got back upstairs, the argument escalated. Katie stated that Amanda confronted both of them on the balcony in what she described as a jealous dispute. She reported that Amanda struck her first and that the two then began punching each other. The fight continued on the floor until Amanda’s husband intervened and separated them.

Katie sustained swelling, bruising, and cuts, and was transported to Horizons West Hospital for evaluation. She invoked Marsy’s Law and declined prosecution. Amanda provided a different account. She said Katie, who was intoxicated, called her an inappropriate name and began hitting her in the face and body. Amanda stated she only tried to hold Katie back and did not initiate the violence. She also invoked Marsy’s Law and declined prosecution.

The witness, Amanda’s husband, told deputies he heard yelling from the bathroom and found Katie on top of Amanda striking her. He attempted to break up the fight but was unable to determine who started it, as the physical altercation had already begun when he entered the room. Deputies documented visible injuries on both women, including facial swelling, cuts, and bruising.

Based on statements and observed injuries, deputies determined there was probable cause to arrest both sisters for domestic battery. Amanda and Katie were transported separately to the booking and release center and trespassed from all Walt Disney World property. Deputies informed them that returning would result in arrest for trespass after warning. No children were present during the incident. Body-worn cameras recorded the entire investigation.
