Adult Arrested After Attacking a 14-Year-Old at Magic Kingdom

Content Warning An argument at Magic Kingdom’s ferry platform escalated into violence when witnesses say an adult struck a 14-year-old boy while his father was restrained. One man was arrested for battery, and both adults involved were trespassed from all Disney properties.

On January 1, 2026, deputies responded to a report of a physical fight at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, located at 4601 North World Drive. The incident occurred near the ferry platform and involved an adult male allegedly striking a 14-year-old minor.

Upon arrival, deputies met with Disney Security at the M05 office, where all involved parties had already been detained and separated. Three Disney employee witnesses provided sworn written statements and stated they were willing to testify in court. All three witnesses reported observing two adult males aggressively attacking a juvenile and his father.

According to a sworn statement provided by Andrew, he and his 14-year-old son, Matthew, were standing on the ferry platform when they were physically pushed aside by Christopher so that a female in Christopher’s group, who was using a mobility scooter, could pass. A verbal dispute followed.

Andrew stated that Christopher’s brother, Jesse, then became involved and restrained him, preventing him from intervening. While Andrew was being held back, Christopher allegedly began punching Matthew, a 14-year-old minor. Witnesses reported that Christopher continued striking the juvenile and ultimately threw him to the ground as Andrew struggled to break free. During the altercation, Jesse admitted to punching Andrew in the face while continuing to restrain him.

Andrew stated he wished to pursue charges against Christopher for battery on his minor son. He declined to press charges against Jesse at that time.

When contacted by deputies, Jesse claimed he was acting in self-defense but was unable to provide consistent details to support that claim. He did admit to striking Andrew twice in the face. Christopher initially denied striking anyone; however, after being informed of multiple witnesses and video evidence, he admitted that he had lied and acknowledged punching 14-year-old Matthew.

Andrew and Matthew were evaluated by rescue personnel at the scene. Both declined further medical treatment.

Based on witness statements, victim statements, and Christopher’s admission, Christopher was arrested for battery and transported to the Orange County Booking and Release Center without incident. Both Christopher and Jesse were issued trespass warnings from all Disney properties.
