- The suspect allegedly blocked her path, took her phone, and physically assaulted her.
- The victim later identified the suspect using Disney’s internal employee directory app “Roster.”

Victim Approached Near Apartment Building
According to the report, the victim left her apartment in Building 16 and began walking toward the bus loop at the front of Flamingo Crossings, where residents board transportation to work locations across Walt Disney World property.
As she walked along the sidewalk behind the building, she was approached by a man she recognized from previous encounters.
The victim told investigators the man had approached her several times during the previous two weeks and claimed he was also in the Disney College Program, saying he worked in watercraft operations.
However, she said the interactions had made her uncomfortable. During prior encounters, he reportedly asked personal questions and made sexual comments, including suggesting she come to his room to “have some fun.”
Phone Taken and Path Blocked
During the March 9 encounter, investigators say the suspect blocked the victim’s path, preventing her from leaving.
He then allegedly grabbed the victim’s iPhone 15 from her hand and began entering his phone number into the device while holding onto it.
The report states the suspect called his own phone from the victim’s device and saved the contact under the name “Brian.”
Despite repeated requests from the victim for her phone back, he allegedly refused.
Alleged Physical Assault
Detectives say the encounter escalated when the suspect grabbed the victim by her buttocks and pulled her toward him, thrusting his groin against her.
The victim reported that he then lifted her by her legs, kissed her on the mouth and neck, and continued to restrain her.
During the struggle, the victim was eventually able to retrieve her phone from his possession.
After several minutes, the suspect put her down. When the victim attempted to leave, investigators say he grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her toward him again.
The victim pushed him away, fell onto the sidewalk, then ran toward the Flamingo Crossings front office to report the incident.
Medical Treatment and Injuries
The victim reported pain and bruising to her inner thighs and arms, where she said the suspect had grabbed her.
She later sought treatment at AdventHealth ER near Walt Disney World.
Deputy D. Joachim responded to the hospital to take her statement.
Suspect Identified Using Disney “Roster” Directory
Before deputies arrived, the victim attempted to identify the suspect using Disney’s internal cast member directory application known as “Roster.”
According to the report, she searched the terms “Brian” and “Watercraft,” which returned several employee profiles.
While reviewing the results, she said she immediately recognized the profile photo of William as the man who approached and assaulted her.
Investigators later confirmed the profile belonged to the suspect.
Unusual Age for Disney College Program Housing
Authorities say the suspect was 51 years old and living at Flamingo Crossings Village at the time of the incident.
The housing complex primarily serves participants in the Disney College Program, which is typically composed of college students and recent graduates, most commonly in their late teens and early twenties.
According to the victim, the suspect previously claimed he was also participating in the program and working in watercraft operations.
While the program does not publicly list a strict maximum age limit, residents in their 50s are highly uncommon within a community largely populated by young college participants.
Charges
Based on the investigation, detectives determined there was probable cause that the suspect violated:
- Florida Statute 784.03(1)(a)(1) — Battery
- Florida Statute 812.13(2)(c) — Robbery
Investigators say the robbery charge stems from the suspect allegedly taking the victim’s phone while placing her in fear before she was able to retrieve it.
The phone was valued at approximately $1,500.
