Staff told deputies the situation escalated after Digiovanna was cut off from alcohol service due to his level of intoxication. When provided water instead of more alcohol, he allegedly became upset and began arguing with employees.
Upon making contact, Deputy DiLorenzo noted Digiovanna was slurring his words, appeared highly intoxicated, and was not listening to instructions. Disney Security Manager provided both verbal and written statements, saying Digiovanna had been repeatedly asked to leave Disney Springs and refused. She issued him a verbal trespass warning on behalf of Walt Disney World and stated she wished to press charges.
Deputies reported that they stood next to Security as the warning was given and then issued multiple clear commands instructing Digiovanna to leave the property. Despite being told several times that he needed to exit the restaurant or face arrest for trespassing after warning, Digiovanna refused to comply.
After continuing to ignore commands, Digiovanna was placed in handcuffs and informed he was under arrest for trespass after warning. Deputies noted he was given numerous opportunities to leave voluntarily but chose not to. He was transported to the Orange County Booking and Receiving Center without further incident. Body-worn camera footage was active throughout the encounter.
