KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A Walt Disney World cast member is among 16 individuals arrested in a large-scale undercover operation targeting online child predators across Central Florida, according to state officials.
The suspect, identified as Sroas Tes, was taken into custody after investigators say he attempted to meet what he believed was a 14-year-old boy following inappropriate online communications.
The arrest is part of a multi-agency operation led by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and state prosecutors.
Undercover Operation and Arrest
According to an arrest report, the investigation began on March 18, 2026, when a detective posed as a 14-year-old on an online platform while working in an undercover capacity.
Authorities say Sroas initiated contact and continued inappropriate conversations even after being told the individual was underage.
Investigators say he:
- Continued communication after learning the age
- Attempted to arrange an in-person meeting
- Traveled to the agreed-upon location
The meeting was set at a KFC along East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, where deputies were already staged.
At approximately 11:45 p.m., the suspect arrived in a vehicle registered to him and was taken into custody on scene without incident.
Post-Arrest Statements
Following his arrest, investigators say Sroas waived his Miranda rights and admitted to communicating with the individual using his cellphone.
According to the report, he acknowledged:
- He used his phone to send the messages
- He knew the individual was 14 years old
- He still planned to meet
His cellphone was seized as evidence, and his vehicle was taken under seizure as part of the felony case.
Charges Filed
Sroas is facing multiple felony charges, including:
- Traveling to Meet a Minor for Sex (F.S. 847.0135)
- Use of a Two-Way Communication Device (F.S. 934.215)
- Harmful Communication to a Minor (F.S. 847.01385)
- Attempted Lewd and Lascivious Battery (F.S. 800.04 / 777.04)
Identified as Disney Cast Member
According to a press release from the Florida Attorney General’s Office, Sroas was identified as a Disney employee and was among 16 individuals arrested during the operation.
Officials stated that multiple suspects in the operation held positions that could place them in regular contact with the public.
State Officials: Operation Prevented Harm
In a statement, James Uthmeier said:
“Each one of these predators was ready and willing to engage in sexual abuse of children, but they were met with undercover officers and handcuffs instead. Dangerous predators are off the streets, and our kids are safer because of it.”
The operation, conducted between March 18 and March 21, resulted in 16 arrests and is being prosecuted by the Office of Statewide Prosecution.
How These Operations Work
Undercover child exploitation investigations are designed to intercept suspects before any real child is harmed.
Detectives:
- Pose as minors online
- Clearly disclose age early in conversations
- Document continued intent
- Coordinate controlled meeting locations for arrests
Authorities say all suspects arrested in this operation continued communication and made plans to meet minors before being taken into custody.
WDWActiveCrime Perspective
While this incident did not occur on Walt Disney World property, the employment connection highlights the broader scope of these investigations across Central Florida.
Law enforcement agencies continue to focus on identifying individuals using online platforms to target minors, regardless of occupation or location.
