Disney College Housing Arrest After attack with a Popcorn Bucket

🚨Another incident at Flamingo Crossings Village Deputies say a domestic dispute turned physical when a woman: • Threw objects; Slapped the victim; Blocked him from leaving

A late-night domestic dispute inside Disney-affiliated housing ended in an arrest after deputies say a confrontation between a couple turned physical and escalated further when one person was prevented from leaving.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just after midnight on March 20, 2026, at Flamingo Crossings Village, a large residential complex that houses Disney College Program participants and other Cast Members.

🧾 What Happened

Deputies responded to an apartment on Sandpiper Landing Way around 12:13 a.m. in reference to what was initially reported as a disturbance. Upon arrival, the situation was determined to involve domestic violence, false imprisonment, and resisting an officer without violence.

Investigators say the incident involved a man and his ex-girlfriend, who had been in a relationship for approximately three months.

According to the report, the situation turned physical when the woman allegedly:

  • Threw a popcorn bucket, striking the victim in the head
  • Struck him multiple times with open-handed slaps to the face
  • Used a Mickey Mouse-themed sweater to hit his back and torso

Despite the physical nature of the altercation, deputies noted that the victim did not have visible injuries at the time of their arrival.

🚪 Attempt to Leave Blocked

The situation escalated further when the victim attempted to leave the apartment.

Deputies say the suspect blocked the door with her body and physically restrained him by bear-hugging him, preventing him from exiting the residence. This led to an additional charge of false imprisonment, a serious offense under Florida law.

👮 Arrest and Resistance

After deputies placed the suspect under arrest, the situation continued to escalate.

According to the report, she:

  • Pulled away from deputies
  • Resisted while being escorted
  • Continued struggling until she was secured in a patrol vehicle

She was ultimately taken into custody on multiple charges.

⚖️ Charges Filed

The suspect was arrested and charged with:

  • Battery (Domestic Violence) – F.S.S. 784.03
  • False Imprisonment – F.S.S. 787.02
  • Resisting Officer Without Violence – F.S.S. 843.02

No prior history of physical violence between the two individuals was reported, and there was no active injunction for protection on file.

🏢 Ongoing Concerns at Flamingo Crossings

This incident marks yet another arrest tied to Flamingo Crossings Village, raising continued concerns about safety within Disney’s large-scale housing community.

Flamingo Crossings primarily houses participants in the Disney College Program, but also accommodates other Cast Members and affiliated residents. With its high-density living environment and young resident population, law enforcement calls to the complex are not uncommon.
