Domestic Violence Continues to Surface at Disney World After Two Recent Arrests

🚨 Two separate domestic violence arrests were reported at Walt Disney World property within days of each other.

Two separate domestic violence arrests were reported at Walt Disney World property within just days of each other, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrest reports obtained by WDWActiveCrime.

One incident occurred aboard the Disney Skyliner near Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, while the second unfolded inside Magic Kingdom.

Pregnant Woman Injured During Alleged Fight After Argument at Hollywood Studios

Deputies say the most serious incident happened on May 18 after a verbal argument between a couple escalated while leaving Hollywood Studios with a young child.

According to the arrest report, deputies responded to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort after Disney security escorted the female victim to a “quiet room” while the male suspect reportedly left property in an Uber.

Investigators said the victim had a visible bruise near her eye and told deputies the argument began while the family was visiting Hollywood Studios and standing in line for a ride. The dispute reportedly continued as they walked toward the Disney Skyliner transportation system.

The victim told deputies she called a family member in an attempt to de-escalate the situation, but the suspect allegedly became more upset. While inside a Skyliner gondola, the victim claimed the suspect grabbed her before repeatedly punching her in the face, arms, and legs during the confrontation.

Deputies noted in the report that the victim told investigators she is approximately 16 weeks pregnant with the suspect’s child and that he was aware of the pregnancy.

The suspect was later located at a hotel near Disney Springs and arrested on a charge of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman. Deputies stated photographs of injuries were collected as evidence during the investigation.

The victim reportedly declined to provide a written sworn statement and did not wish to press charges, though Florida law allows law enforcement to proceed with arrests in domestic violence cases when probable cause exists.

Argument Inside Magic Kingdom Leads to Domestic Battery Arrest

A second domestic violence arrest occurred on May 15 inside Magic Kingdom after deputies responded to reports of a disturbance between a couple who had reportedly been dating for approximately six years.

According to the report, the argument allegedly started after the victim became upset about the suspect looking at other women inside the park.

The victim told deputies the suspect threatened to leave her at the park before allegedly pushing her in the chest with both hands during the argument.

Later, while the victim was recording video on her phone, deputies say the suspect turned around and slapped her hands, knocking sunglasses to the ground. Investigators stated the victim uploaded video evidence through Axon Capture as part of the investigation.

The suspect reportedly admitted he “may have” slapped the glasses out of the victim’s hands but denied pushing her earlier in the incident.

Deputies determined probable cause existed for a domestic battery arrest based on statements and video evidence gathered during the investigation.

Domestic Violence Calls at Tourist Destinations

Domestic violence incidents remain one of the more common law enforcement calls handled across Central Florida tourist areas, including theme parks and resort properties.

While Walt Disney World maintains extensive security operations throughout its parks and resorts, criminal investigations involving violence or arrests are handled by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Under Florida law, deputies can make domestic violence arrests when probable cause exists, even if a victim later declines to press charges.

For safety reasons, law enforcement agencies also conduct lethality assessments in certain domestic violence investigations to evaluate the potential risk of future harm.
