Repeated Move Requests Denied Before Knife Threat at Disney College Program Housing

🚨 The Trend of Disney College Program Housing Participant reports knife threat during roommate dispute 💬 Says she previously asked to move 💸 Was told to pay $200 ⚠️ No arrest

A Disney College Program participant reported being threatened with a knife by a roommate inside Flamingo Crossings Village, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office report.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of March 9, 2026, at an apartment on Rock Pigeon Loop in Bay Lake, a section of Disney College Program housing.

🧾 What Happened

According to deputies, the situation began around 3:40 a.m. when a group of friends were gathered in a shared apartment common area.

A roommate, who had been sleeping, reportedly became upset over the noise.

Investigators say the roommate exited her bedroom, grabbed a kitchen knife, and held it up while telling the group to be quiet because she had work in the morning.

The victim told deputies she attempted to calmly de-escalate the situation and asked the roommate to put the knife down. The roommate refused and returned to her room while still holding the knife.

No physical injuries were reported.

🏠 Ongoing Issues Inside the Apartment

According to the report, the victim stated she had been experiencing ongoing problems with the same roommate for several months.

She told deputies she had repeatedly asked Disney housing management to move her to a different unit, but was informed she would need to pay a $200 relocation fee.

The victim declined to pay the fee and remained in the shared apartment prior to the incident.

This detail highlights a key issue in the case, the conflict was not new, and attempts to resolve it through housing changes had already been made.

⚖️ No Charges Filed

Despite the reported threat involving a knife, the victim chose not to pursue criminal charges.

According to deputies, she stated she did not want her roommate to go to jail, but instead wanted to be relocated to a different apartment.

She signed a declaration of intent declining prosecution.

🏨 Temporary Relocation

Following the incident, management advised the victim to stay with friends in a different apartment until a housing change could be arranged.

🎓 Context: Disney College Program Housing

Flamingo Crossings Village serves as housing for Disney College Program participants, many of whom are young adults and international students living in shared apartments.

Conflicts between roommates are not uncommon in shared housing environments, but this incident escalated to a reported weapon threat.

⚠️ Why This Stands Out

This case is notable not just because of the alleged knife threat, but because:

  • The victim previously reported ongoing issues
  • She attempted to relocate before the incident
  • A financial barrier ($200 fee) may have prevented an earlier resolution

In this situation, the victim ultimately chose not to pursue criminal charges, focusing instead on getting out of the living arrangement.
