🚨 Two separate resort incidents at Walt Disney World ended in arrests this month after deputies responded to disturbances at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and the Bonnet Creek resort area.
Two unrelated disturbances at resorts near Walt Disney World property ended with Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies making arrests earlier this month, according to newly released arrest reports.
One incident occurred at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, while the other took place at the Bonnet Creek resort area just outside Disney property.
Guest Arrested After Allegedly Pushing Deputy at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
According to an arrest report, deputies responded to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa on May 10th after District Fire Rescue personnel requested assistance involving an intoxicated woman who reportedly needed medical evaluation.
Deputies arrived at a resort villa along Avenue of the Pines where rescue crews were attempting to convince the woman to voluntarily go to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the woman, became confrontational after a deputy entered the room to assist paramedics. According to the report, Shy allegedly began yelling profanity before forcefully pushing the deputy in the chest with both hands.
Deputies then took her into custody on a charge of Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer.
The report states she was restrained to a stretcher due to her intoxicated condition and transported to Dr. Phillips Hospital before later being booked into the Orange County Jail.
Body-worn camera footage was reportedly captured during the incident.
Disturbance at Bonnet Creek Resort Ends in Battery Arrest
Just two days earlier, on May 8th, deputies responded to a reported battery at Signa by Hilton in the Bonnet Creek resort area near Walt Disney World.
According to investigators, the incident stemmed from an escalating argument involving a nanny and two women staying at the resort.
The victim told deputies she had been exchanging text messages with the suspect prior to arriving back at the hotel room. During the exchange, the suspect allegedly threatened to slap her.
When the victim entered the room, deputies say the suspect attacked her, leaving visible scratches on her neck and bruising on her face.
Deputies arrested the suspect, identified as Rodriguez, on a battery charge and transported her to the Orange County Jail.
The report noted that body-worn camera footage documented the investigation.
Resort Disturbances Continue to Generate Law Enforcement Responses
While the incidents were unrelated, both cases highlight the steady volume of law enforcement and emergency responses that occur at Central Florida resort destinations surrounding Walt Disney World.
Many of these calls involve alcohol-related disturbances, domestic conflicts, medical emergencies, or guest altercations that escalate into criminal investigations.
No additional injuries were reported in either incident beyond those described in the arrest reports.
